
Ingredients:
500g ground lamb
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 large onion, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
4 burger buns
4 slices feta cheese
Lettuce and tomato for serving
For the Tzatziki Sauce:
1/2 cup Greek yogurt
1/2 cucumber, grated and squeezed dry
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
Salt and black pepper to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1
In a bowl, mix the ground lamb with cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 burger patties.
Step 2
Heat a pan over medium heat, add butter and onions, and cook until soft. Stir in balsamic vinegar and cook for another 2 minutes.
Step 3
Heat a grill or pan over medium-high heat and cook lamb patties for about 4 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
Step 4
Toast the burger buns lightly.
Step 5
For the tzatziki sauce, mix Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, garlic, lemon juice, dill, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
Step 6
Assemble the burgers with lettuce, tomato, lamb patty, caramelized onions, feta cheese, and a generous spoonful of tzatziki.
Step 7
Serve immediately.
